At age 11 he took up drums having saved up money from his 10th and 11th birthdays – before that from age 7 he had got hold of some drumsticks that he used to practice on anything handy . . . . all the paint on the windowsill in the attic was chipped away to the sound of Caravan’s In the Land of the Grey and Pink.
Trev, as he was known at school, pioneered the first school rock band when he was 15 “Randy Vicar” – it was at this time that he got his first taste for recording when they did a 4-song demo at a studio in Twickenham situated under railway arches.
After leaving school, TrevorJames formed and fronted a number of bands mostly doing covers – good time blues and rock‘n’roll. Playing all sorts of venues and audiences over the years
His debut, self-titled album was released in August 2018 and he’s been playing his original songs both solo, as a duo and with a band.
